Hello! I'm trying to make a vehicle that's as reliable as I can while still being peppy and well handling, any vehicles that you think can fit this? I'd also like something that can survive a heavy beating in a derby arena. (Only vanilla vehicles, please) thanks! [edit] Yes, I know about the T-Series.
I'm confused. So you want us to suggest a car in game by BeamNG already? If so, I would probably recommend the Hirochi Sunburst. In real life (Yes ik you said vanilla): Subaru Outback Wilderness
Yeah, i just mean in BeamNG. I agree the Sunburst is great, but if I want to be able to have a low center of gravity AND beat people in a derby arena, im not sure. But i'm gonna make a Sunburst configuration to experiment. Any other suggestions are welcome!
I know it said vanilla only but this is basically vanilla (and you should have it anyway with its quality) i hear the AW astro is great. it can take a giant brunt to the back and drive, and it has a bullbar. for actually vanilla maybe a big gavril. like h or d-series. I don't do derby s at all though.
I love the AW Astro, but the thing im doing with it isn't going to allow mods. (If you're curious, it's for a derby and racing event where you can only use one vehicle on BeamMP) And i must highlight, i do need something with good performance around corners that can take the brunt of big SUVs hitting it. This might be harder than i expected
probably the vivace, due to its new status realistically if we're going with the vehicles from now and not new, but from new probably the 89 pessima
I'm also doing reliability testing with collisions and all using a Gavril Roamer Deisel LXT35 (since thats what most people will be using, im guessing) so i'll report how the sunburst does i guess --- Post updated --- Okay, i'll test the 89 Pessima after the sunburst. If you want you can also suggest modifications to make it tougher, faster, and more agile
What about the moonhawk or the grand marshall? The grand marshall, if built well can handle pretty good! Plus it's a stronger platform.
The grand marshall is pretty strong, but the D-series seems to be the most unkillable, unless you arent using trucks. The grand marshal has to be the second runner up, since its rwd its less likely to break a drive axle, and the body on frame aspect makes it alot more durable.
I was also thinking about the Miramar and the D-Series, but since everybody is going to be using a D-Series it doesn't give me much of an advantage at all. I will consider the Grand Marshal and Miramar though.
well im going from durability standpoint. Beamng doesnt really have any sort of mechanical wear other than overheating, and stuff caused by that, or no oil. If this is gonna be a demolition derby, it would be a solid choice.
Use race adjustable differentials, all three of them. Then tune them to torque distribution 50%, power lock rate 100%, coast lock rate 100%, preload 0Nm. This way you can continue driving after driveshaft/halfshaft broken.
The hx mk1 pessima is for fuel economy purpose so get based on this one Other than that, wait for beamng devs to add old Volvo (Jargl)
honestly ive done derby stuff in the past and the 200bx always seems to do a lot better than you'd expect
If you go sunburst you’ll want an AWD variant with the bash bar up front and as many handling mods as your allowed, that way you can dodge cars dive bombing you while still being able to take a few hits from the front with the grand marshal you’ll basically want a modded version of the vanilla derby config with maybe a different wheel setup
