And a winter mode disallowing 2nd gear would suit the ETKs and other new cars. And Torque Converter lockup needs more parameters, like the vehicles insist on locking up in high gears whereas it should be based partly on the throttle too, as the throttle will unlock the T/C (but passing a certain RPM it needs to lock up again, to keep in the low gear). Hard to explain, but the cars are too eager to lock up, especially the LeGran and older cars
