Hello!! I think everyone knows that devs use simplified versions of cars for traffic so as not to overload your computer, and as for me, it would be nice to make a more cars! For example, Ibishu Hopper, or Wentward DT40L
They did in 0.34, but something like the wentward would be very difficult since it has a longer body. The same happened for the wydra. It has a different steering type and now it behaves like a drunk driver.
More of them are planned, we are focusing on more typical vehicles first, ones that you would realistically see more often in traffic, but eventually we want to add the less common ones like trucks and buses too. That will wait until the variety of normal cars is big enough for career mode purposes though (otherwise the less common vehicles would spawn too often compared to normal ones).
What about the poor hopper and SBR4? They are normal enough. Honestly, here in Canada you see lots of Porsches and Ioniq 6s which represent the SBR4s market. And the hoppers just a normal compact SUV so its really weird its not already present in the simplified traffic.
the Hopper will probably get a simplified version once it's remastered (if it gets remastered) for the SBR4, maybe
We need the SBR4 because there's not enough modern vehicles in the traffic. List of post 2010 traffic cars: - Bruckell Bastion - ETK 800 - ETK K Series - Hirochi Sunburst - Cherrier FCV That's only 5 cars! If we count different bodystyles that's 7. But that's almost nothing! Every other car is from the 80s - 90s! Only three cars are post 2020! Also, most of the cars are sedans, and the hopper would help fill in that gap. If the hopper is remastered it could easily have a modernized version produced till 2010. --- Post updated --- Here is a concept.
don't forget that there was a Reddit post by a team member saying that they were working on a car that could be added by next year. maybe that car will be a 2010s or 2020s car
I found this in the update speculation thread, it was posted by @stenyak (the Reddit post, not the forum post)
Nice, I wonder what it could be! If its using systems that don't exist yet maybe its a french car with that crazy suspension.
