So we have the scenarios which can be played by multiple people, can this be true in free roam? Just imagine, you could have cop chases offline with friends, drag races, normal races, rally, crawling, derby how you want, crash together, which can help crash compilation video makers a bit, make local multiplayer scenarios, careers, party mode, and more. Maybe even make it where you can hook up multiple keyboards to one computer and have the player have the abilities of a normal key board as long as it has enough buttons, maybe this might make Beam.NG Drive better! Thanks for support!:)

I do agree with this fellow,
can we have a split screen mode for free roam?
It is possible to do local multiplayer with 2 or more input methods, e.g a keyboard and and Xbox 360 controller

    yes, sort of
What I mean is a way to see two cars on the same screen with different input methods at the same time
(I think I said that already)

So basically you want more scenarios using multiple players using different cars?

Splitscreen will likely take up too many resources to be feasible right now. You can thank Torque3D for that. The only way to know for sure is for a dev to test it.

The hotseat mode from the scenarios can be enabled in free roam. Its in advanced settings

I am gonna ask you personally to explain why. I never got it. Why is splitscreen so hard on T3D?

Because everything is hard on T3D or at least the graphical optimization is terrible, split screen makes it even more resource intensive, same could be said with most split screen games.

... But why? wouldn't the entire game map and vehicles be load anyways since its in a single space? What would be so hard about splitscreen then?

Because even if it's loaded, your GPU has to render it twice for both screens and keep it in sync on both sides. It basically cuts your fps in half.

But i thought BeamNG was mostly CPU intensive?

It is, but Torque3D is incredibly inefficient with rendering stuff.

So the game renders based on what the screen sees, and rendering two screens would mean rendering twice everything even if both screens look at the same thing?

Well, yes. And for how much GFX horsepower is required for one screen, it's just doesn't seem likely that two will be playable on most computers.

Loading the maps and vehicles is generally CPU load. Rendering the scene to 2 viewports though, even with them being half the size, adds significant overhead.
And the 2 screens wont ever be looking at the same thing.

But cant two screens be run on the same gameworld? as in, if they see the same vehicle, a single render is being made for two screens?

That would be one renderer, one camera. Splitscreen requires two.
