My suggestion is to have more modern engines (like the V8 from the Gavril Grand Marshal/Roamer/D-Series) available for classic cars like the Barstow, Bluebuck, Moonhawk, etc. With this feature implemented you can give your classic car the power of a modern engine. This can make your favorite cruise/drift/race setups even better. Optional addition: Maybe also add the modern transmission when you add the engine to your classic car. For instance: Have the 6-speed automatic transmission from the Roamer available when you add that V8 to your classic car. (abit like https://www.beamng.com/threads/aftermarket-transmissions-for-vehicles.81229/)
Or https://www.beamng.com/resources/ve...e-and-other-values-edit-works-for-mods.14868/ mod that can swap anything from one car to another
Thanks, that could work in the meantime. But how nice would it be if it was implemented in the vanilla game? So you could swap engines by default, not with a mod.
What's difference between a vanilla engine swap feature and a engine swap feature that comes with a mod exactly? I don't see any difference
For instance, when you drive multiplayer, the other players dont need to install a mod for that, since its already in the game. But for single player a mod can work if the version is correct. If the game gets an update, the mod may not work anymore. I just think its easier to include it in the base game. Just like the V8 that is now available for the Hopper. (I believe a while back the 6 cylinder was the largest engine for Hopper)
