Mod Request: Lane Assistant.

Hey everyone, the last few days i thought more and more about the possibilities of making a Lane Assistant Mod that lets you keep the control over the vehicle but if steering input is detected will keep the vehicle follow the road for cinematic driving with a gamepad like myself for example. I have zero modding capabilities and simply wanna find somebody with modding knowledge who likes the idea himself and wanna make it happen!
If you have any questions about this topic because i´ve got your interest or something just reply in this thread and i see forward to hear what anybody thinks of this!

 

tbh i would like to see this in newer BeamNG vehicles

 

Modders don't generally do mod requests
Also if you have ideas just post then in the appropriate seccion

Couldn't it be solved by playing around with AI settings, unless you want a predetermined route to drive on? Edit: Ah I see you still want control, yeah then you'd need them to be separate.

 

Yeah i tried that out because there is function to hand over the player controlled vehicle to the AI but unfortunatly if you toggle it off the car will have to come to a complete stop an engages the parking brake before handing the control back over to the player so this is not what im looking for which is sad because if it just would give the control back instantly it would be just what i needed.

 

so probably a mod that would toggle the random AI on and off but without switching to stop mode?

Wow! Sounds like exactly what im looking for. Any chance you can come up with a standalone Lane Assist mod? Would love to have it!
