Has anyone ever thought of converting one of the maps from Midtown Madness 1 (Chicago) or Midtown Madness 2 (San Fransisco, London)? They are low polygon, relatively diverse for their time, and quite large.. I assume they would be relatively easy for an avid BeamNG modder and may be very popular downloads.
There is a few programs out there that are able to import Midtown Madness 2 city files. I'm not sure if they could be exported, but it should be able to. I used one before and I was able to see the whole map from bird's eye and able to select buildings and move them around. --- Post updated --- I found the program I used! http://www.mm2x.com/page.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=167&ttitle=MM2_City_Toolkit
MM2 is one of my favorite old game... Even if it's really low quality, it's could be fun. But please use an other forum topic next time
I mostly played MM2 as a kid. When I was in my teens I found out about Midtown Madness 3. Sadly it was Xbox only and I didn't have one. I wish it was re-released on the Xbox 360 and then ported to the One with online capabilities. I also wish Microsoft would revive the franchise with a 4th installment. We really need another AAA arcade racer other than NFS these days. Also if you haven't noticed, my profile pic is Midtown Madness 2.
Midtown madness 3 was one of my favourites growing up. I had so many, my favourite was definitely Rallisport challenge 2, but i also had Need for speed Underground 2, (still the best NFS in my opinion), Simpson's Hit and Run, Project Gotham Racing 2, Juiced and the original Forza Motorsport, Midnight Club DUB Edition among many others. It was still a game that i loved and still own although i am unable to play it because my Original Xbox is on top of the cupboard. I still have the receipt and the game. Bought it for $34.95 AUD on 25th November 2007. I don't think i will ever sell any of my Old xbox games, definetely not my Xbox. Too many memories, too much sentimentality. If anyone has the skills or even knowledge of how to export those maps to Beam, that would be Epic and would bring back so many memories.
