Last week, people from my Discord server thought about doing a quick and dirty challenge. This ended up in a challenge where we had to make an offroad/baja style vehicle with the following rules: Stock Pigeon diesel engine 165/70R13 standard tires on 13X5 rims Realistic weight Use of the same seat(attached below) 1 week deadline(give or take) DBecause this is for fun, we all made something different One of the entries will be FWD with independent suspension, another one will be 4WD with solid axles... They will be uploaded to this thread when they are ready. Now let's start with the entries. Let me introduce you to my creation, the BLIJo HV: It is a buggy powered by (surprise) a pigeon engine Features: 3 body panels that can fall off Skinable: Has headlights Drivetrain features: Side-mid engine: Engine is on the left of the driver: CVT transmission, mesh is a rotated hatch transaxle. 4WD, the outputs of the transaxle are the front and rear driveshafts Open diffs in the front and rear Inboard brakes, animated Front-rear connected suspension: Think like a 2CV but with the tubes above the frame and with a different spring setup in said tube: Now let's see where the others came up with You need to download the seat mod to have a seat in any of these vehicles
My entry (when finished) will be this weird contraption: Its front engined FWD, using CVT gearbox, LSD from sunburst and of course the beloved pigeon diesel engine. As far as suspension goes, its modified offroad IFS from the pickup up front and custom -ish made torsion bar rear suspension which is a mix of what renault used in 90s and autobello. It weights around 700kg More photos and a video coming once I'm back home. Little comparison video between a beast of a D-Series and my FWD buggy (in the video used with different tires than the challenge specific ones, cause road tires would be basically useless there) As you can see due to its weight distribution isn't ideal, so the rear end bounces around and it just doesn't have the traction of a 4wd vehicle.
@Blijo You are bloody awesome man! well done! I donno what it is about your mods, but they are just so much fun to mess around with!
agree i did some 'modding'to the mod and well i made a lil drift cart and it's so much fun lol --- Post updated --- I would love to participate- but those console errors- they scare me
I love how you can mess with the rake settings, it should be -1 0 1 setup rather than a 0 1 2 setup for it, its just something that might need to be improved on but I do enjoy it, are there plans for more engines in the future?
