Nice Trailer by CaptanW Hello, welcome to my next thread. Currently I'd like to work on this porject, an 1994-1995 Mercedes - Benz E420. The reason I'd like to have exactly this Daimler-Benz model in game is the fact, that my father owned one of these until 2013. I really loved that car so I searched for some decent 3D models and after a little bit of research I found this one. Currently it's far off to be finnished. At the moment it isn't even suitable for the game bacause I have to merge and split some parts off to be suitable for Beamng.drive. Normally I dont create threads that early but I'd like to share here some progress I'm doing and like to show, that the work I'm doing isn't just download a free 3d model and put it in game and finnished ... and how about the lexus gs300 that you showed a couple of weeks ago is that going to be released as well or ......
the problem is that it has really bad performance and I need some help of Kos with the navigation unit , so Im not sure when I will release that one
Hi, my father had this car too, but he sold it to buy a new Land Rover. He owned it with a 3.2L TurboDiesel engine and an AMG pack. If its possible can you put that engine into the mod too? Just some nostalgia, the car was really good...
all parts are renamed now, so that there are no complications in game now I will do some texture work and fixing model issues and then it should be ready for the first import to beamng
okay, well, I have chosen the fullsize (gm) jbeam because it fits the best I think. Poorly I ran into a problem, that I cant export the model as .obj anymore, so I had to directly export it as .dae which is now causing in the interior some weired polygon bugs :/ anyways in game it looks good --- Post updated --- the last pics for today; model is almost in game, deformation is nahh i would say "decent enough for a non modified jbeam"
I've driven, and still occasionally drive one of these in real life. I hope you can get it to drive as smoothly as it's real world counterpart
