Matte Livery on Shiny Paint

Is there a way to have just the skin on a car matte, with the areas with transparency being whatever chrominess the car is set to have?

Set the 4th value of the color higher in the materials and it will become more matte.

 

The 4th value in a color is the alpha (aka transparency). And there are more than one color in the materials.cs.

 

Jup. And if the transparency is set higher the specular map will come through less. Which results in a more matte look.

 

I think the problem isn't the general car shinyess, it's more that using the skin system you are unable to make specific parts of the livery (i.e. dirt) matte/less shiny.
