So, I just downloaded the game and I am experiencing a lot of lagging. When I enter the game it is ~10 FPS, sometimes it gets better for a moment and then worse again, sometimes it gets only worse.

    My specs:
    • Intel i5 6500 3.20 GHz 4 cores
    • 16GB ram
    • geforce GTX 1060 6GB
If I open Task Manager while playing, GPU usage is 100%. This doesn't happen in any other game, just beamng.

are you using your dedicated graphics? Make sure its not the intel one, because that one works horribly.

Check the in game repo if it is trying to download something... if yes, disable the auto updates

My PC is very similiar to yours (i5-6400, 8GB RAM + GTX 1060) & I have to say that BeamNG runs good-ish mostly, but it sucks on maps like WCUSA since the fps drop to ~30 even on "normal" graphics settings with "display shadows" (or w/e it was called) set to partial

Well I have an I7 7700K @ 4.7GHz, 8GB RAM DDR4 @ 3000MHz, a GTX 1080ti at its maximum OC and in WCUSA with everything at ULTRA (Dynamic Reflections at ULTRA too) I get less than 30FPS in some areas, I usually play at +90 stable FPS and when they mantain at 30FPS is like "Wow I have super low FPS" xD

But what we gonna do :)

    Check that...
    • You're NOT using Intel HD Graphics (I don't know why they call it HD because it can even run Chrome).
    • You have the Maximum Performance power plan selected at Windows Control Panel.
    • Enter NVidia Control Panel > 3D Configuration and in Energy Plan (or related) you have selected Maximum Performance too.

I have vsync on so I get only 60fps at max, what I aim is 60fps as minimum too, at WCUSA forest or looking direction of forest seems to be slowest running, however it is only slightly less than 60fps usually, inside that forest I get bit more drop, but never to 30fps.

With all settings at max and 1080p I doubt I can run anything at 60fps, would need a lot more GPU power than what 1050Ti can provide for such.

However 10fps sounds really slow and there is not much information about settings, number of vehicles or map / location of map where this 10fps happens, so it is bit hard to say anything about reasons of why.

I know some people are getting slowdowns at WCUSA that all of sudden kills FPS totally, but I haven't noticed such, no matter what I have attempted to.
