BeamNG is a very CPU dependent game. Your CPU is the weakest part of your PC. Try pressing "J" when in-game. This will pause physics and the FPS should shoot up if the CPU is whats dragging it down You could try a slight overclock to see what that does, although I don't know if that is your issue.

You could also try a fresh install of the game. You can do this by uninstalling the game through steam and re-downloading, OR you could right click BeamNG in Steam, properties, Local files, verify integrity of game cache.

    I hope this helps you

Why get a K-suffix CPU if your motherboard doesn't support overclocking?

    How, exactly?

For me muting sound causes this. If you're sound is muted, briefly unmute it and then remute it, fixes it for me (sometimes gains me up to 30FPS)

Yeah you only really want a 6600K on a Z series chipset, does no harm on an H series but the K's are the overclocking models. You'd have been better off with just as plain 6600 unless you intend to upgrade to a Z series mobo in future.

Either way. Massive lag spikes periodically are usually indicative of poor cooling and hence thermal throttling.

the computer runs at 50-60 degrees use to be 40 but suddenly went up for no reason now it live between 50-60 but it couldnt be cooling unless the thermal past has broken off or something stupid, it has 5 fans cooling it, and about the cpu and motherboard its the first pc i built and had a budget and i didnt know any better it was $10 more expensive than the 6600 so i got the 6600k

and another issue thats is happening is that every time i change an visual settings in game the window goes black but the game is still running and i can hear it and interact with it but can see anything

msi command center allows me to change power settings, i haven't touched them much because i dont know what im doing but increasing them slightly is what i did earlyer

Unless overclocking, leave voltages alone. Basic electronics too, Voltage != Power.

Is that 50-60 at idle or while playing BeamNG?

Maby overheat that can drag you cpu down alot
Try looking you background procces bc some programs in the background can drag it down also

ok so i found one issue, the cpu fan was connected to a system fan out put, now its corrected and its sitting at 40 degrees again
and yer that was at idle it seams alot happier now but the lag is still there
    --- Post updated ---
that was the first thing i looked at but im not using much

even if that was the heat problem the game is now running at 45fps instead of 60, ive got it running now on the highest graphics like i was earlier and the cpu temp is at 57

your chosen fan layout will be starving the cpu cooler for air. Change both top fans to intakes. That as an idle temperature is high. Check temperatures while running beamng too, they'll be higher.

Just thinking about it wouldnt it be a suggestion to invest in some Corsair Liquid cooling to keep those temps down?

I did a very quick check and it hasnt been suggested yet but I am just putting the idea out there...

@Fatkiwi what case do you run?

few peeps ever need to go as far as that when his diagram simply shows a less than optimal fan setup

That is probably a crap design fan setup I would have exhaust out the top and back and intake at the front so 3 fans as exhaust and 1 fan as intake...I THINK thats a negative pressure system I described?

negative pressure is inadvisable. Top and front intakes cause positive pressure through a single rear exhaust

I have 2 intake fans and 3 exhaust fans I think I am slightly better although its still negative pressure inside I know I have to fix it eventually...

It definitely is overheating did you see the way his fans were its awful, you need to get the air pressure up I have 2 intake and 3 exhaust I may upgrade my case to 3 intake and 3 exhaust eventually when I get around to finding Fractal Design fans

Reset the voltages you changed. It's best not to mess with them. More voltage = more heat.

ok so the voltages have been reset, the entire computer was just rebuild and is clean new fan layout and it sits at 41 degrees at idle and running beam ng it sits at 50-54 degrees but it wont go past 56 fps
    --- Post updated ---
and thats with the fans on 25%

if i max the fans out it will sit at 37 degrees at idle
