Map Mods, How do you get them in game?

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but how do you correctly get a map mod in game, I used too rummage through the files of BeamNG until I got to the map section, were I would put the desired mod, but I am not sure whether that's what I am meant to do. Are you meant to open the mod folder and put it in there?

 

Just download one and put it in your mods folder
