How do I make a custom mesh road? I want it to have 6 or 8 lanes, have a median, and a shoulder. I have already modeled the guardrail for the middle, but I want my road to look like this: https://www.google.com/maps/@37.258...03&h=100&yaw=72.909546&pitch=0!7i13312!8i6656 Any ideas?
Maybe create a road in blender or sketchup and upload it to Beamng as a object then add it in the same way as you would a building? Edit: Example Sketchup - https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=u3b991c38-8bb1-46fe-a0ed-78dc9ef73f81 Blender - https://www.cgstud.io/3d-model/roads-set-8319
I know how to make a road as an object, but I was wondering if there was a way to make a mesh road as in you can use the mesh road editor and make curves and stuff without having to make a curved mesh.
Might be hard to do. In my exploration, the only mesh road you can create is through the mesh road editor, and it only creates a square shape. So wish you could angle the sides too. Anyway, you can set camber on a mesh road by choosing the tilt tool (kinda looks like a sphere with 3 axis), change the tilt on the blue axis (or whatever color, you'll figure it out.) Curves are pretty easy too. To make less jagged turns, lower the breakAngle (the lower, the smoother/more laggy for some reason).
