    There is no such thing as magnetism in BeamNG. This is a staged video that just uses a generic cartoony magnet model, and they're just (I assume) grabbing the cars to attract them so that it looks like it's actually magnetic.

    yea, i agree, there is no way you can make a magnet, you can make a repellent magnet, but not one that attracts.

    You can make a magnet by triggering the force field with a negative value via console, maybe that's what was used here. It doesn't really behave like a realistic magnet though. A magnet would only attract steel, and it wouldn't be anywhere near THIS strong.

    Hello everyone in the forum!!

    I made a video about magnets. But when I record, an error occurs: the bar magnet is partially distorted. Hope someone can guide me how to fix it.

    Thank!!!

    So there IS an easy way to make a "magnetic" vehicle. We just had to lookup how the force field works and then went to the command window and typed in 2 commands. Thanks to https://games.mathkuro.com/en/beamng/beamng-commands-2/ for the easy to use Cheat Sheet.

    The 2 commands to type out at the command prompt are:
    1. Enable force field with:
    extensions.gameplay_forceField.toggleActive()
    2. Set the force multiplier for the force field to a NEGATIVE number rather than positive:
    so instead of typing the following for the classic repelling force field:
    extensions.gameplay_forceField.setForceMultiplier(10)
    you'll instead type this command:
    extensions.gameplay_forceField.setForceMultiplier(-10)

    Now if you pause the game and spawn a couple of vehicles, maybe use the world editor to move them a little further from you than they spawn at, then drive towards them and they'll come to you!

    If you created a vehicle yourself and made it look like a horseshoe magnet like in the video, it should work and act exactly like in the video. It's just too bad there is SO many misleading videos out there, making kids think so many things are possible when usually they're fake - but luckily we figured this one out fairly quickly!

    Have fun with your magnetic personality (and vehicle!) and May the Force Field be with you! positive or negative... :)

    I think they used a negative forcefield value in the force field multiplier!
