What about it? All I see here is hating something about mac, I assume its about not being able to play.
Unless you've got a really old Mac you should be able to install Windows on it with Boot Camp and thus be able to play BeamNG DRIVE.
Yeah I bought it thinking I could get it to work, but I couldn't. - - - Updated - - - I tried that too, I have a fall 2011 Mac, but I kept getting error messages.
You should be able to play. I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro and have tried playing DRIVE using bootcamp which worked without issue. Also tried getting it to work through wine on OSX and that also worked pretty well with the occasipnal error.
Yeah, didn't do anything special. Standard wine install, have the beamng exe on your desktop, double click and then on the dialog box that appears ensure "run in "x"" is selected and then it should go ahead with the normal installation. I kept getting out of memory errors because I think it wa only using the inboard graphics rather than the dedicated card, not sure if anyone can get it to run better. Mine was ok on the blank test map but was throwing the errors on maps that included lots of assets
The team should make a really nice Wine wrapper for this thing and sell that. I have played some things in Wine, and they can work, but a bad wine wrapper can chew at the computer.
Yes, you have two options as said above: install Windows on it using Bootcamp or use the program Wine. [Corrected by staff below]
ffs. I suppose its okay becuase your new but please look at dates before replying to "dead threads". It has been siad that BeamNG will not be coming to mac anytime soon becuase of several reasons, these include its CPU power, small amount of people that own them compared to windows and the operating system that it uses. @Cdawwg01 remember next time to look at post dates and read through the thread before bumping it with a pointless comment.
No, it won't work with Wine/Crossover and similar. Those things do not support DirectX11, which the current game versions uses. BeamNG.Drive is only compatible with Windows (7 and newer)
