I have tried it out today, but I doubt if you can use this to share mods with the community. You must enter the full pad where the changes must be stored, but the game pad can be different for anyone. EDIT: I was wrong about that, you must not fill in the full pad, only the part that comes behind the gaming pad. For example "lua\system\blah.lua".
Sorry, but I do not understand what you mean If you mean that some people may not have necessary lines and modification will not install correctly, then the same problem happens when the user installs the modifications manually. So...
You're reaction came at almost exact the same moment as my edit. Don't mind my previous post. I missed the ball totaly . I tried it and it works perfect. I will post my mod soon with the Lua-mod installer (probably tomorrow).
Guys, we have plans on our own regarding mod-ability of the lua, so this tool might become obsolete in the future. Just saying now upfront.
Thanks Incog for that addition! Will be very useful Good to hear tdev, will be looking forward to that, but until then.. lua mod installer ftw!
can anyone give an tutorial? I'm trying to install the way point mod but how do u get to the install screen, I get to the first pic on the thread post but that's all
I can't seem to run the installer properly. By that, I mean it gives me a microsoft .net "unhandled exception" and does it again, not fully installing at all.
Hey there, was updating my lua mod and was getting an error with the installer. It can't find the \lua folder properly because it keeps adding an extra \ when installing. If I remove the trailing \ in "the path to game folder", it adds it again. If I remove the \ before lua when creating the .bls, it seems to add it anyways. no \ before lua = looking for .Drive\\lua with \ before lua = looking for .Drive\\\lua no \ before lua no \ after Drive = looking for .Drive\\lua
