I've had a similar issue once or twice. Not sure if it's the exact same code but it'll pop up every now and again ever since this new update. The game still functions fine for me, though, so you might be experiencing a different issue. Try verifying the game's integrity on Steam maybe? And then I would say clear your cache. You could also try removing any broken/old mods, as a mod could possibly maybe still cause this error even in safe mode. I'm not sure that would do much for you but it's worth a try.
