Ever wondered how a RWD Covet would Drift? As soon as I saw that the new KLJP Update includes a "Kammback" Body Option, I knew what I had to do: Swap the 200bx'x KLJP 2.0 SR-TECNICA into the Covet, keeping the longitudonal orientation and then somehow figure out how to make the drivetrain fit... In the picture I'm using my Covet AWD Mod for RWD. I have yet to ask @Kueso for permission to do this, so I'm not uploading anything yet. Thanks! IMPORTANT!!! THIS MOD REQUIRES THE KLJP MOD AND IT'S DEPENDECIES!!! The default (vanilla) Fueltank clips the driveshaft, use the AWD Fueltank included with KLJP to resolve that issue There are no configs included as of now, will probably change in the future. Just equip the following: 2.0L SR-TEC I4 Engine Longitudonal RWD weird Independent Front Suspension AWD Fueltank (only visual changes) There are also 2 new Steering Systems and multiple Transmissions/Differentials you can choose! Release notes: v0.1: Only the 5-Speed Transmission included in the Mod ("RWD 5-Speed Manual Transmission by JoLi") works. The other ones don't afaik. I f*cked up the UVs for the Transmission... If you want to do the Textures/UVs for it, feel free to DM me or answer to this Thread. The "Drift" Steering has this issue where it "drops down" near full lock (If you can help me with this, please DM me or answer this Thread!) Turbo stuff has NO TEXTURE, will prob be fixed in next update v0.2: All Transmissions should work now On that note, ONLY the custom RWD Transmissions can be selected with this Engine now (I was getting tired of having a lot of Transmissions in the list that would only logically work, but the meshes would be bad etc.) Texture issue with the Turbo/Intercooler should be resolved (hehe yeah that worked great...) New Adjustable Drift Steering (idk, changing the steering angle is kinda weird, maybe someone can help me) The issue with the front "dropping down" near full lock sadly still remains Issues with default Part selection should be fixed I probably forgot something, see this as a substitute for that (it's also almost midnight as I'm writing this) v0.3 (not available for download because v0.3.1 got to be a thing before updating this): fixed material issues that occured with v0.2 Driveshaft rotation offset sucks to get right... (will probably fix in next update (v0.4)) v0.3.1: fixed more material issues that occured with v0.3 (and should have occured before, too?) v1.0: fixed (hopefully) Driveshaft rotation offset Added adjustable Drift Steering (adjustable rate, if you overdo it, the steering stuff will break) Added 20_Longitudonal Config (only .pc file with image, so be sure to have Include custom .PC Configs turned on) v1.01: removed unneccesary files that would "overwrite" core game files
Well, for the AWD fuelt tank, KLJP is enough, since it already adds a awd Covet. Also, the rear suspension from the KLJP's AWD Covet can be used, since it "bolts on" perfectly on the Kammback body.
New Version is out! v0.2: Texture Issues with the Turbo should be resolved Default Part selection shoud be fixed New adjustable Drift Steering Only Custom RWD Transmissions can be selected now (instead of all Covet Transmissions, including those meant for transverse mounted Engines) A Bunch of other Fixes
Discovered a BIG(little) mistake in the last update, and guess what it's a , too much... Sadly, I only noticed in @fillman86 's latest video about this mod.... will be fixed in next update... among other things... --- Post updated --- alright, should be fixed now... new issues arose though, e.g. more texture/material issues, and, most importantly, the driveshaft rotation offset. sorry about the rant, but jesus christ, to set the rotation offset up, I have to change the value in the jbeam, close the game, clean the cache, let it do its integrity check, start it up again, wait for the longer loading times for it to populate the cache, and then, maybe, it accepted the change I made... OH NO! I accidentally didn't get it right the first time, well, GUESS IT'S TIME TO DO THE WHOLE ORDEAL AGAIN!!!! like wtf????
I wish there was a real-time JBeam editor to prevent extremely tedious mod making processes. Although I understand how hard it is to create a mod, let alone an entire car, a tool of this kind would help modders.

You kinda can in the world editor, but that's still experimental
there has been a real time vehicle editor in beamng for a very long time, but it never did anything, or showed anything worth using, but it's seemingly working a lot better now... still not the most useful setup, but they've shown that it can edit props on the fly now I'm hoping they focus more on their modding tools
v1.0 ist now out! (hopefully) fixed Driveshaft rotation offset Added adjustable Drift Steering (adjustable rate in Tuning menu, if you overdo it, it'll break the Steering stuff. Unit is not Meters, but just amount, but that somehow didn't want to work like I wanted it to) Added simple 20_Longitudonal Config (Only .PC file with image, so be sure to have "Include custom .PC Configs" turned on in the Vehicle selection menu! If you notice any Issues, please, answer this thread or DM me --- Post updated --- More News! I just submitted this Mod to be uploaded to the repo!
