Long Distance Lights

Howdy,

I`m making a map of my local area so i can let my daughter practice driving, and we have a TV mast about 5km sightline from our house.

I`ve tried using the Point Light and while this works when you`re close, only the slightest movement away from the camera and the light/flare is not visible.

The only thing that is visible is whatever piece of dae is lit up by the point light when giving it crazy brightness and radius settings etc. and i know i could probably use this to my advantage to create the effect im after.

Is this just a limitation of the game, the point light, my settings maybe (must admit i havent tested this one) or is there another object to get this effect?
