Hello! This message is for Logitech G920 users. If you do not own one of these, move on. Let's keep the thread very minimal, it will be easier for us to manage the whole thing With our latest update, we saw many of your reporting issues when using this wheel. These issues so far are: Game crashing on launch Game crashing when resetting car The issues are not present when the wheel is unplugged. Solution / Fix (Updated to 01/04/2017): Logitech should have already released a newer driver versions that includes a fix for this issue. If you haven't already, make sure you are using the latest drivers/software If you are having troubles updating the drivers, try to clean reinstall the Logitech drivers/software following these instructions: Spoiler: Instructions - Unplug the wheel - Uninstall the 'Logitech Gaming Software' - Go to C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software (if the folder still exists), and delete everything left in there. - Uninstall the wheel's driver, as explained here: - Download the latest version of the 'Logitech Gaming Software' and 'Wheel Firmaware' from the Logitech's website ( http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/g920-driving-force/downloads ) - Install both of them (order should not be relevant) - Reboot the PC and check again
This is the error code I got when it crashed: BeamNG.drive 0.8.0.0 0x00000001 My support ID code is 7903
Can you guys disable FFB and retry? (in Controls -> Force Feedback menu, and clicking Apply afterwards) Did any of you have the G27 LEDs option enabled in Options -> Gameplay?
Are you offered to send a crash report when it crashes? A window like this: If not, do you get any message on screen? Does it silently close down?
Are you guys using the H-Shifter? If yes, what happens if you do not use it (I suppose you can disconnect it like on the G25?)
I tried without force feedback on the wheel by disabling it in game and it works all the time but with force feedback on it triggers the glitch again so i think the system gets confused on what to to with the force feedback when repairing the vehicle but i will try with no shifter anyway --- Post updated --- no shifter makes no difference
Can you please try overwriting the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\lua\ge\input_bindings.lua" with the attached file, launch beamng, and report if the issue is still there? -File removed. Please see solution in first post-
I've been using my G920 for a while, but the only problem I've experienced with it is that the wheel doesn't want to move when plugged in, but i have never experienced the Game crashing in the New update
Glad to read! Could you now please try this other file too, and tell me if it still fixes the issue for you?
Can anyone guide me on how to overwrite the input bindings? I'm kind of new to all of this and suck with computers -_-
The second? Simply download the file (the latest one Stenyak posted). Go to Steam Library and right-click BeamNG.Drive Go to Properties, then go to 'Local Files' tab. Then click the 'Browse Local Files' button. A window should open, go to the LUA folder, then open the GE folder which is inside. Put the file you download there. Windows will ask if you want to replace/overwrite the file as it has the same name. Say yes and done.
