    Hi

I play a lot of Iracing and various other racing sims.... Now the one thing I have trouble with in BeamNG is braking.... I can't seem to get the brake pedal to feel 'progressive' I.e. A higher pedal force equals more stopping power being applied to the ingame car... Rather than any force being applied to the brake pedal equals almost full braking power being applied to the ingame car...

    Any help would be appreciated...

    Thanks

    Please do the following:
    - Go to the menu Controls > Hardware. Locate your controller in this list.
    - Press and depress the brake.
Does the axis bar fill and empty progressively like you would expect? Or does it just blink on and off?
If this looks wrong, you need check the manual for your controller, install the drivers as instructed by it, and set it up correctly so that your pedal works like you want to.

If it still works incorrectly after doing the above, please send a support request so I can take a look.

Thanks for the reply... I have managed to improve things a little bit by playing around with the sensitivity of binding. my pedal in the controls menu works exactly as it should but ingame, It was only needing maybe 25% brake pedal to lock the ingame cars' brakes up and go plowing off the road...

A sim I play has an adjustable thing in the controls section called "brake curve force factor" this is a scale setting from 0.0 - 5.0 that controls the linearity of the brake pedal input. 0.0 Is suggested for a load cell pedal and a value of 1.6 - 2.0 is suggested for a potentiometer pedal....

What do you make of this and how would it translate into BeamNG mapping and setting it up wise ?

    Thanks

You want to change the sensitivity value. A value of 1 means linear response.

In your case, if your pedal is not sensitive enough in the first positions of pedal travel, you want to increase the value. Start with 5 and observe the difference in the pedals UI app. From that point, go down in order to have more control on the bottom of the pedal range, at the expense of less control at the beginnng of the range.

Of course, make sure you have calibrated the pedals, G25 and G27 require a full pedal press-depress each time their are connected to the computer, or the logitech drivers won't know what's their actual range. But you are probably aware of this if you use other sims too.

I think Sensitivity does just what you are looking for? 1 is linear, and a value higher than 1 changes the input/output curve to have a lower slope at the beginning of pedal travel, ramping up to max near the end.

    :p beaten

Yes, I've got the Logitech gaming software etc etc....I actually downloaded the one that was recently released a couple of months ago because one of the racing games I play required the new logitech drivers so everything is up to date and calibrated right just it felt strange to me for some reason... I added some curve to the sensitivity of the brake binding and it feels good now.....

Well with my wheel I had to change the wheel strength for GRID 2.... Even after that, it wont work with GRID 2... But it works with RRRE (RaceRoomRacingExperience) and BeamNG (ect.)
