This is just a forum to list your pc specs and that's basically it... Mine: Dell Inspirion 3760: Intel Core i5-8400 Intel UHD Graphics 630 12GB RAM 1TB Storage Flaws: Loads slowly Does not run most modern games on high graphics (too much lag) Never ran beam without issues Integrated Graphics problems NEVER BUY A PRE-BUILT PC LIKE THIS
Nothing wrong with a Prebuild as long as it has proper specs. You don't have a GPU, you have integrated graphics that's why performance is poor. You have 1TB of mechanical hard drive storage, not a Solid state or SSD drive. It being a prebuild isn't the problem its a hardware problem. I bought a prebuild similar to that and added a SSD and GPU and Beam ran just fine. I'm currently using a MSI Pulse GL76 i9 12900H 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM 1TB Seagate Firecuda PCIe 4.0 SSD RTX 3060 6GB GPU Zero issues playing on ultra up to 1440p
Custom pc CPU:Ryzen 9 3950x RAM:32gb Trident z Rgb @3200 mhz GPU:Evga 3080 xc3 ultra Storage: 14tb total storage split up over 3 hard drives and 3 nvme ssd's Motherboard:Gigabyte b550 Aorus Master Case:Evga DG-87 Steam Deck
Gigabyte Z390 i9-9900k Vision RTX 3070ti 32GB of 3200 ram two M.2 1 TB each two SSDs 1 TB each 850wat power supply CPU and GPU are water cooled with two 32 inch LG Gaming Monitors set as one screen 5120x1440 165Hz with HDR on GPU Clock +100 MEM Clock+90 CPU all cores 5.0 all the time
GIGABYTE H410M S2 V3 Intel i5-10400F 16GB RAM NVIDIA GT 1030 128GB Storage It can only get ~15FPS in BeamNG
my hardware is worse and it runs better, try turning your settings down --- Post updated --- Inspiron 3650 Intel i5-6400 Nvidia GeForce GT730 8GB DDR3 RAM 30-50 fps usually, some drops to 20, low settings.
Inspiron 3650 Intel i5-6400 Nvidia GeForce GT730 8GB DDR3 RAM I think I did lowest, bumping down to 1366x768 also made a big difference.
Just got a new system the other day. Old (Custom build) | New (Mostly Prebuilt) MB: ASRock B450M Pro 4 | MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus ASRock B550M-C CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @3.6GHz | AMD Ryzen 7 5700 @3.7GHz GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB | EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC Gaming 12GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 @3400MHz
Dell G5-5500 Laptop: Intel Core i7-10750 Nvidia RTX 2060 16GB RAM 456GB Storage Cons - IT WON'T STOP OVERHEATING. I need to run 7 fans on it (5 under, 2 at both sides) for it to not overheat when playing Beam. Even then it will sometimes overheat and shut off (especially with flight sims). (Does anybody have any solutions to overheating?)
According to various posts around the internet it's a common issue with that laptop. You (if you're comfortable with it) could redo the thermal paste but I'm not really sure how much it would help.
Dang, I knew it. The one that comes after mine (which a friend of mine has) doesn't have that problem thanks for the help though --- Post updated --- another thing, does this happen for anyone else? my computer will say that i'm at 78GB one day and the next it turns out I was lied to, and I'm actually out of memory
Toshiba Satellite - L775D-S7340 AMD A6-3400M 8GB DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6520G 15-(20 Something) FPS, Lowest Settings on Beam
mine: AMD Ryzen 53600 on ASUS TUF B550 Plus MSI RTX 2070 Super Ventus 32 GB (for virtual machine use) 1- 980 Pro Samsung (pcie4) 500Gb 2- P5 Crucial - 500Gb 3- P5 Crucial - 1Tb
My specs: Intel i7-12700KF ASUS Prime Z690-P Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR4 64GB (got 4x 16gb sticks on sale) Samsung 980 Pro PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB Started with an iBuyPower prebuilt. The included hard drive failed 4 months later. System had good specs apart from the hard drive and only 16gb RAM. The hard drive was an ADATA Swordfish NVMe 1TB. It was okay at first, but a couple months in it started having sporadic disk IO problems, then about two months after that it completely failed on me into SMART failsafe on boot. Search for the model + "disk IO issues" and you will find all kinds of info about why that drive is so junk. I thought it was a Windows 11 issue. If I searched the model I would've found the various threads explaining how junk it is BEFORE it failed on me.... but in hindsight I should've backed up and upgraded from the start. All work stuff was backed up but lost quite a bit of random sentimental files... still sad about it. As its "going away slap to the face", it failed on a Sunday at midnight in the middle of editing a video for someone else. That was a rough week to say the least. Anyway, upgraded the hard drive after it failed, then swapped the ram at the same time. Been running great ever since. I got it at the time for work to run more monitors in addition to smoother video editing ability. I used two different "gaming" laptops for the past decade prior to this system so I wasn't too picky, just needed something that worked and that I could drive to a nearby store and get without waiting (Microcenter). Didn't get it for gaming at the time but was happy to find out it plays BeamNG on max settings on 1440p very smoothly. Forgot exact FPS but I believe I run 140-160 range consistently. 64GB RAM is definitely overkill, but similar to the poster above, I use my PC primarily for work and software development purposes so high spec is still beneficial to me. I enjoy the convenience of being able to leave many applications going and not have to worry about closing X to run Y. Thanks for reading my current system's dramatic background.
Brand new build for me, replacing my first custom PC after 5 years of service... MSI B550 MAG Tomahawk WiFi Max Motherboard Ryzen 7 5700X (8c, 16t @ 3.40ghz) CPU CoolerMaster ML240L V2 AIO 4x8gb (32gb) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200mhz RAM EVGA XC3 Ultra RTX 3080 (1755mhz stock oc) GPU WD 570 Blue M.2 (500gb) SSD Crucial MX500 2.5" (2tb) SSD Thermaltake ToughPower 750w (Semi-Modular, 80+ Gold) PSU LianLi LanCool 205 Mesh (black) Case
Just got this new computer a month ago, here's the specs. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5700G 4.80 Ghz GPU: RTX 3050 RAM: 2x8 16 GB DDR4 3200Mhz SSD: 512 GB HDD: 1 TB OS: Windows 11 Home Power Supply: Thermaltake Litepower 550W Motherboard: MSI B550M Pro-VDH WiFi
AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with integrated graphics (this will be an issue later) Nvidia GTX 1650 (i mean, it runs) 16 gigabytes of (i honestly have no idea) DDR4 RAM (14 usable, blame AMD) a random 512GB Micron SSD (put forza horizon 5 on it and suddenly you can't make a excel sheet Windows 11 (cry about it)
