    Unfortunately I am getting the same behaviour as the above posts, I can't load into any map.

    If I'm reading the OP correctly this should only effect Mesa, but I have an Nvidia GPU.

    There is a game crash seems to be caused by a shader compilation error (im on Nvidia, this is different from mesa driver crash) when loading in. I was able to fix it by editing gamefolder/shaders/common/downsamplerCS.hlsl and changing line 33 from

    to

       return reduce_avg(samples.values);
    Samples is type2x2 which is a struct containing type1x1 values[4] therefore we need to actually access values instead of passing the struct.

    However, when I load in, the car is invisible, everything flickers and glitches out, and I get spammed with

    _updateDynamicDescriptiorSet Missing VK resource
    in the console.

    Doesn't seem to work for me...

    I once got it running though on the flat grid map, lowest graphics preset. I think I changed the line to "return 0;", but I can't even reproduce that now...

    Now, it just makes my GPU reset every time it loads in just as it was before. Editing that file doesn't seem to change anything.

    RX 6700 XT, mesa 23.1.7-1, 6.5.3-zen1-1-zen, KDE Plasma 5.27.8-1

    Also having very bad issues with the maps flickering, and not looking normal/like they did befor the 0.3 update.

    Only map I can load in without problems is PureGrid.
    - However even there when using any other preset than "lowest", my vehicle is invisible/transparent.

    Suddenly becomes visible on the "lowest" preset
    The Shadows settings seems to be causing it, "partial" aswell as "all" make the car invisible.

    - Vehicle never visible on other maps, as far as I could tell.


    I also had multiple crashes, with a message about "downsamplerCS.hlsl" As far as I tested, seems to be related to the Dynamic reflections setting. And an endless spam in the logs of
    "UpdateDynamicDescriptorSet| Missing VK resource"

    Turning them off prevents my game from crasheing after loading screen.
    And turning them on in-game instantly crashes to crash-reporter.

    I am not having GPU reset/System Freezing problems like some other users mentioned.

    My System information:
    GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1650 SUPER :-: Driver: 535.104.05
    CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
    RAM: 16GB
    OS: Arch Linux (kernel: 6.5.4-arch2-1 )
    DE: (X11, KDE plasma 5.27.8)

    Sorry guys for so many issues with the Native Linux version right now, we were fully aware that most likely it won't be playable on most of the configurations for the release of 0.30, I hope we can sort it out for the hotfixes. Right now for a workaround, it would be better to use proton with -gfx vk command (if you want to use Vulkan instead of DXVK)
    Also thanks for the detailed log, and other data about the issues you are encountering :)
    I see there are far more issues related to Vulkan on Linux than I managed to find on my own :(

    I've just been playing on 0.27.2 for now. We appreciate hearing from you about it, anything's better than silence. It would be nice for it to be fixed, even though Vulkan does help with Proton performance (About 30% better on my PC) I basically can't use AI vehicles.

    Interestingly, in career mode, Vulkan (with proton/wine) runs wayy worse than DX11 through DXVK

    I only could test for a few seconds, have to go now, will continue testing in a few hours when I'm back

    nvm, that was with AMDGPU-PRO

    I think I confused a few things, this might actually be the windows ver. started through wine...
    when I tried to replicate this, I found out I didn't even have the map downloaded on the native version...

    anyways, will now try with the 0.30.4 update...

    sorry If I got you hopes up, I confused myself quite a bit...

    On newest hotfix (30.4); I still seem to be getting flickering on my screen. Setting graphics to lowest and no mods running, still causes issues. I made sure to remove temp folder before testing and still nothing.
    System OS: Linux Mint 21
    GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060 latest drivers
    CPU: Ryzen 5900X
    RAM: 32GB
    West Coast is the main map I tried; it seemed like most trees loaded in; but forest trees would appear where buildings normally would be. Water didnt even render for me; But iirc the vehicle looked fine.

    Just got my Laptop (XMG Neo 15 M21 intel, i7-11800H, RTX 3080 mobile 16GB) back, tested it there:

    Seems to at least not crash the whole graphics driver :)

    Issues I noticed:
    • vehicle is invisible (selecting a different car does nothing, tested Roamer and D-Series and Haybale)
    • Shading looks a bit off(?)
    • Console UI is broken (also noticed that on my Desktop (RX 6700XT)
    • Console is spammed with "Missing VK resource"

    I tried VR on the native Linux port and while it would instantly crash when using steamvr, I was able to get it working when using monado. The game also instantly crashes with VR on proton. I am still having the same issue of the dark shading and invisible car on gridmap and the chaos of random things being put in different random places with random rotations every frame on west coast with the native Linux build.

    So I just tried to launch the Linux version without sudo, like i did yesterday - now it was opening, but seems to hang for several minutes at the inintial loading screen.
    I closed the window, since that seems to be too long for the loading screen to stay.
