I tried searching for this, but no-one seemed to have asked this already. Is there a way for a bounded beam used in suspension to be limited in retraction/extension so that the beam doesn't compress fully, aka it can only shrink to 0.5 of it's size before being unable to shrink further?
Yes, absolutely Code: {"beamPrecompression":1.03, "beamType":"|BOUNDED","beamLongBound":1.0,"beamShortBound":1.0}, In the above: Pre-compression : How pre-compressed the spring is when spawned beamLongBound : Adjust how much it can be extended beamShortBound : Adjust how much it can be compressed Then: Code: {"beamLimitSpring":5000000,"beamLimitDamp":125}, Adjusts how that limit (boundary) is enforced. So the above would be a hard boundary. Finally, always make sure to reset this afterwards. Otherwise any following nodes will also have these values applied to them Code: {"beamPrecompression":1, "beamType":"|NORMAL", "beamLongBound":1.0, "beamShortBound":1.0}, There is loads more info on the wiki: https://wiki.beamng.com/Beams General info: https://wiki.beamng.com/Vehicle_Creation_Megapage
