I'll pay someone to make a high-fidelity and customizable 2nd generation Lexus GS / Toyota Aristo. I want the inline 6 version to be have single and twin turbo options (it has a 2JZ-GE and I believe also 2JZ-GTE engine, it shares the same platform as the Toyota Supra, people might not know). I also want the V8 version (1UZ-FE to have a supercharged version). Let me know, thank you. Please be able to provide pictures and videos of your previous works.
Modders don't take suggestions on what to make, they choose what they like. Also this is the wrong section.
I feel like this isn’t a fact. Paid mods are a thing so I would think that people see an incentive when they make a mod, otherwise they’re just choosing to gatekeep things (why they have a right to do). But if they’re making people pay for their mods wouldn’t they accept getting paid off the bat to make a car? Then they could sell it to that one person, and then choose to keep it behind a pay wall to make more money. I just feel like there ARE people out there that would do it.
That's true, there are people out there who will do it. However, a detailed mod like this will take a lot of labor and therefore is worth a lot of money. If you're able to convince someone who you know will do a good job, the mod will take a while to make and as mentioned before, may cost a pretty penny.
If it was paid justly, I think the price of a mod would match the price of a real car - I think of 500 working hours for a team of designers and testers. Although if you look at @LJ74 s video of the Silvia creation, a 3D model was built in 8 hours:
I don't think I have seen a single example of this that ever worked. Sure there were some commisioned mod attempts but they all died due to the author losing motivation because they worked on something they didn't enjoy. There are also commisioned maps but they don't seem to take as much effort as cars (we are talking about months of 3D modelling, texturing, Jbeam work and likely some coding on top of that, while a map can be done in a few weeks if you reuse vanilla assets). It would probably be easier to learn how to make mods and do it yourself than to find someone to do it for you, you would have to pay a ridiculous amount of money and wait months with a high risk of the project never getting finished.
I’ve started looking into what it takes to make a mod yourself. It just seemed doable as a commission since I see so many paid mods that get leaked, and it seems that an author has created more than one. I didn’t realize it would take months.. unfortunate.
