I started creating a map for BeamNG. I have done this a few times before, but I have encountered some issues preventing me from continuing with the map. The first issue is that when I click on "New level", it opens up the "open level" menu. After just opening grid, small, pure, I tried to import my heightmap. I made sure it was 16 bit grayscale, a power of two, square. I didn't really see any problems with it, but when I imported it, it was just spikes. Close together, small spikes. I tried putting the heightmap in many different folder (ie documents, steamapps) and it still had the spikes. Does anyone know a solution? I am currently reinstalling the game, so any help is appreciated. If anyone wants to see the heightmap, just ask and I will post it. Thanks in advance.

Perhaps not very helpful but I loathe making maps with anything but an existing map. I don't
trust the 'new level' apparatus but that's just me. Your symptoms have been mentioned in a
few threads recently if I recall.
