I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to start making a level in Torque 3D? Specifically how to get the terrain and the collision to be the same and how to edit them. I've never used a program where the terrain and the terrain collision have been separate. I've figured out how to import height maps and texture maps but they're just a terrain file and don't have any collision.
press F11 and you will be able to collide with it. And just as you know, there is sadly a big lack of good tutorials for the torque map editor
Thanks! That F11 was the trick I was needing for some reason. Was trying to play around with it while still in the editor and it wouldn't recognize the collision until I exited at least once. Odd.
make a backup before you start modifying the level - otherwise all your changes will be gone with the next update.
I finished a 40 minute video tutorial yesterday. Trying to render now. Should be up with it's own thread by the end of the night.
Do you guys know how to use the Mesh Road tool? The roads are visible but not solid... BTW, LCBradley3k , Thank you a lot for the tutorial, it sure helped me a lot.
That's the weird thing...they were not. I'll try to play that level again today when I get home. Maybe it will work this time
Same problem...I'm checking other sub-forums, if I find a solution I'll post it here. BTW, the problem looks like this:
