On Hold Leopard 2 Tank

    Hey guys,
    a few weeks ago I started this project and I think its the right time to share this.

    At the moment I'm working on the jbeam files for the Leopard 2 MBT
    Especially the part of the caterpillar tracks is very tricky.
    When this is mostly done I will continue modeling the rest of the tank.

    Estimated time until first Beta release? Maybe in a few month, maybe in a year?
    I do not want to underestimate this project.

    Your JBeam looks a little dense/complicated. That will probably lead to worse FPS. Most peoples' JBeams (including Gabester's) are not as complicated as that.

    The basic model (without struts) for the beams look like this:

    I think I exaggerated it with adding struts in this version:

    Btw is there a way to add struts automaticly in Blender?

    What you guys JUST did was a huge major bump as the last post from this thread was in 08-20-2014 and you bumped it up, Please check the date of the last post before you post.
