The Leduc 0.22 was originally meant to be a mach 2 fighter aircraft, however, in flight testing it could never break the sound barrier (mach 1). The BeamNG version can go over Mach 1, but it's only stable up to about Mach 0.8, so be careful CREDITS Helijah - 3D model Dummiesman - Jbeam CarlosAir - Jbeam, VSI lua Nadeox1 - Normal map VeyronEB - testing CONTROLS Steering (Default left/right) - Ailerons Y/H - Flaps T/G - Thrust amount E - Toggle afterburner Accel/brake (Default up/down) - Elevators Lights (Default N) - Gears FEATURES Working cockpit instruments Scratch jbeam with 16 detachable parts (f gear, l gear, r gear, l wing, l aileron, l flap, r wing, r aileron, r flap, tail, rudder, hstab l, elevator l, hstab r, elevator r, nose) Custom sounds Particle effects Weight tuned to nearly match real lfie weight SPECS Top stable speed : Mach 0.78 Weight : 14,500lbs NOTE You can see the current thrust power in the cockpit WHY? Many may be asking this because well, it's just a weird thing to see in BeamNG. And that's why, because it's unfitting and odd for BeamNG, I decided to JBeam it. Weird reason, huh? TAKEOFF INSTRUCTIONS: -Use the normal engine to take off (no afterburner), with flaps -After you've taken off, retract the gear and use the afterburner to get to mach speed (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) RELEASE 2 CHANGES: -Added a normal map (Thanks to Nadeox1) -Fixed a bug that caused random roll -Increased wing stiffness slightly -Made engine breakable -Made engine afterburner reset when vehicle resets RELEASE 3 CHANGES: -Added some nose stability -Less instrument clipping -Fixed clock showing wrong time RELEASE 4 CHANGES: -Nose gear steering -Strengthened nose connection -Added support beams -Strengthened gears connections -Made control surfaces more rigid so they don't just flap and break off from the flapping DOWNLOAD IS ON FIRST PAGE AS AN ATTACHMENT INSTALLATION : Save the .zip to Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods
Re: Leduc 0.22 It is a hybrid to a U.S. jet and a rocket. It looks very fun to fly this and crash it into the mobile home.
Re: Leduc 0.22 looks pretty cool. So this is what you have been up to! downloading now pretty freaking fast
Re: Leduc 0.22 I would love to try this out! My PC is still in the repair shop though. It looks like you did a good job on it! Could you show us a pic of the jbeam? One of the things I always do when I download a mod is check out the jbeam.
Re: Leduc 0.22 (Release 2) As you would expect with a 1950's plane that flies nearly the speed of sound. - - - Updated - - - I don't see any issues anymore . Enjoy!
Re: Leduc 0.22 (Release 3RC) While I'm not really a jet man, I must admit this is amazing...And with flap controls! And it took you one day? If you ever need another project, I'd suggest the B-24 Liberator (Or adding flaps to Mitch's 25, since it desperately needs those).
Re: Leduc 0.22 (Release 2) This thing could benefit from landing gear steering . I can't take off from JRI's runway XD
Re: Leduc 0.22 (Release 3RC) Yes a jet! This thing is just great. I really need to learn to jbeam so that I can contribute mods. Keep up the good work.
