Is it possible to make a 737 passenger jet? I have seen people make fighter jets and Cessnas and even a drone. If is is possible can someone please make one?
Yes, it is very possible, but you need to look at the scope of something the size of a 737. I frequent several flight simulator forums, and have watched some projects (including one 737 project) take over 8 years to complete, a payware 737 has taken one very experienced team over 4 years now, and they aren't even close to completion. Something of that size probably wouldn't work well with Beam either, because of the size it wouldn't deform well, even if it was plausible, the thing would be uber laggy (epic poly count, and a N/B structure that would put the Eiffel Tower to shame). But back to deformation -- an airliner (most large aircraft for that matter) won't deform, they are very rigid and simply break into small pieces when over-stressed (like hitting the ground at 300+mph). They rarely experience or show smaller scale warping, like bent wings or fuselage damage, even bird-strikes cause widespread damage and a lot of shattered fiberglass. Even disregarding deformation, a typical 737 cruises at 500mph, most maps in Beam can't facilitate these kinds of speeds very well, unless you turn in very tight circles. A landing made under perfect conditions with an unloaded aircraft is about 3250ft, which isn't actually impossible (or all that hard) to build a flat spot longer than that in Beam. Like I said at the very start here, keep in mind the scope of a project like this, every aspect of this game/simulator would work against you, in addition to the dev's off-line life. All that having been said, if someone were to make a good start on one, I'd be all in to help.
