What should i name it for the repo, since i wont be allowed to call it the BFR?

    Small progress update: Basically everything is complete except for some more jbeam tweaking. I adjusted the material, and now the color is much darker and covers an additional small section at the bottom of the rocket. There will be no windows because that will be more difficult to texture and because i can just say that it is the cargo variant. The only things left to do are to add more thrusters to aid in controlling the direction during flight, and to add a few more structural nodes and beams to complex places like the engines. I will post screenshots later.

    Keep in mind this is my first mod, so the jbeam might be a little tacky. This is more of an experiment to help me learn jbeam, but it's still fun to reduce vehicles to pancakes with it.

    Yes. It will have a total of 5 thruster nodes: 1 extremely powerful vertical thruster at the bottom (only one because having 2 nodes to define a thruster for all of the 31 first stage engines would unnecessarily complicate the Jbeam), and 4 much weaker horizontal control thrusters towards the top of the ship. It also has about the same wight as the real BFR (9.7 million lbs). I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to when you say "does the thrust have force", but if you are asking if the exhaust from the engines will be able to destroy things, the answer is no. Hope that info answered your question. :)

    Before i try to release it on the repo, i want to put a version of the mod here in the forums for you guys to experiment with and provide feedback. Be warned: the quality of this mod is definitely not perfect, but i don't want to spend too much time on this right now because i have other things i want to get done. Like i said before, this is more of an experiment to help me learn Jbeam and to explore the game's capabilities. I have several BeamNG projects in store for the future, and knowledge of the mistakes i made while creating this mod will help me produce better quality mods in the future. Here is the file, please tell me what you think about it and what you think needs to be done. Things i am aware of: due to the simplicity of the engine bells' jbeam paired with the complexity of the engine model, there is sometimes severe spiking when the rocket lands on its' engines. Also, the rocket is a bit wobbly after it bumps into something, and it looks a little weird. There is also some mesh at the top of the delta wing that has no nodes attached to it, so it wobbles around a little bit too. The file that i'm uploading is a version of the mod that does not include the control thrusters at the top, because i am still working out some issues with those, but the main engines are working. Press and hold "T" to lift off. One more thing, at the moment there is no sound or particle effects for the engine, so flying it is an eerie and silent experience. I am working on fixing these things at the moment, thus the "WIP" in the title. I want to strongly express that this does not represent the way the mod will be when it is finished. A lot of the things are just placeholders for now. It is really, really difficult to come up with a result that looks good when you are trying to make a vehicle this large and heavy.

    The name for the rocket has been decided by the community. "Large Interplanetary Transport For All Merchandise" won the final vote strongly.

    When you spawn the rocket, make sure you click "replace current" or else it will be partially consuming your current car. Also use Shift+C once it loads to go into free cam.

    Well it’s awesome. But the camera does take a loooooooong time to zoom out if your like me and don’t have proper free cam controls. Also no particle effects (can’t say I’m bothered though). But other than that, it’s amazing. I got really high with it from gridmap:)

    I included big falcon rocket in parenthesis in the title because that is what the mod is based off of. The full name, as decided by the community, is "Large Interplanetary Transport For All Merchandise". I just shortened the name in the title of the thread.

    You should add shock diamonds instead of particle effects for the engines. (see Avro Arrow mod or Wentward JATO for examples of shock diamonds)
    Also, the bottom thrusters are also really jiggly when you spawn it, might want to fix that.

    I've never heard of shock diamonds, so i'll look into that. The rocket does have a lot of jiggly messiness, i am experimenting with ways to solve that. Thanks for your feedback! :D

    so right now you can go up but at some point are you going to be able to point it is different tilt left,right,forwards and back.

    Yes. I am currently working on implementing features and bug fixes, such as the ability to control the rocket during flight, reducing the amount of mesh spiking in the engines, and making the rocket less wobbly. Once again, the file i uploaded is just an early WIP version with a lot of stuff missing. Sorry about the slow progress, i am working on other projects as well, but hopefully i will release it soon.

    Sounds awesome. I’d love to be able to do something like that, but currently I don’t have the skills. And when I do, I’d probably make a Bruckell magic wagon anyway:p

    I dont quite have the skills yet either, but i feel that the game badly lacks a vehicle like this, so i won't give up.
