    hey guys,

so I have a lenovo ideapad flex 5 15iil05 and it has been serving me well over the past 2 years. but, i found a newer generation 13 inch lenovo ideapad flex 5 14abr8 with the AMD chipset and no dedicated graphics. (AMD Ryzen 7 7730U and iGPU) should i upgrade?

***keep in mind that i also use my current flex 5 for school and i thought a smaller laptop would be nice as it's more portable.

    current laptop specs:
    intel core i7-1065g7
    nvidia geforce mx330
    16GB RAM
    1tb SSD

are new iGPUs better than old dedicated GPUs? especially for games like beam, ETS2 and ATS.

That laptop does have better overall performance. Just keep in mind that beam will throw warning messages at you about using a intergrated gpu. One problem is that the laptop does not seem to have adequate cooling, causing thermal throttling and slowing down the performance to the point where it will perform worse than your other laptop. Your current gpu has more performance than the other laptop though.
