Lag on a PC that I bought to play Drive.

I have bought a new PC to play Drive, I took a long time thinking over the process and ensured that the spec of the PC surpassed the official requirements of Drive. I have just bought Drive as the tech demo worked fine. With the full game i get 15-22 FPS. I have spent £500 on a PC so I can play it without lag. I'm seriously unhappy. After Drive lagged, I tried Asseto Corsa and that can run on high with 55 FPS.

    My Specs:

    CPU : Intel core i5 2320 3.0ghz. (£160)

    GPU :AMD Radeon HD7750 GDDR3 1GB. (£155)

    RAM : 8GB DDR3 (£75)

    PSU : Lenovo 350w (£62)

This game should run beautifully, but it doesn't. It is borderline unplayable. When I crash the FPS drops to 9.
Have any ideas? I love this game, but so far it has cost me £500 and I get 15 FPS. I have tried to turn off HDR Post FX, changed the resolution but nothing changes. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

What settings are you running at in the Options menu?
Can you please post a screenshot or list the settings?
What monitor resolution are you set at?

His CPU meets High End Requirements...

I've tried them on everything. Low, Med, High. It will not stop lagging.

Have you made sure that BeamNG is running on more than 1 core?

..., in terms of cores, yes, and in terms of it being a recent cpu, not even close, the i5-2320 was released in 2009 this is 2014

    also

    http://www.game-debate.com/hardware/index.php?pid=798&cpu=Core i5-2320 3.0GHz

uses an older architecture as well, also

@OP press the J key to pause physics, if the fps skyrockets, your cpu is the problem, if it stays the same, your gpu is the problem

It was release in Quarter 3 of 2011, so almost 2012...

You only need a Dual Core to meet the Moderate Requirements,
    and they're well past that...

You have a big mouth that spews nothing useful.

I'm not gonna lie, I have an okay setup too and am not getting the greatest of results. I've got:
    -AMD FX-8329 (3.5GHz)
    -AMD Radeon HD 7990
    -8GB RAM
    -2TB HDD

With the Bruckell Moonhawk, for example, I get a mere 25 FPS. I understand that the HDD isn't fast, and I notice it when I crash at first, but the rest should be good which it's not. So maybe it has to do with the Radeon series specifically or something.

still not recent, and no, you wont need just some random dual core to meet any system requirements, heck, my old c2d E8400 can't even get 2 fps on beamng (and yes, i have tested it)

his cpu does NOT, meet requirements, it's old, (by today's standards, cpu's are changing all the time)

and once again, ARCHITECTURE matters as well, the architecture on the op's cpu is also old, just like his cpu

@OP first of all, no, your cpu is not all that good, not really that recent either, press the J key to pause physics, if fps skyrockets, your cpu isn't powerful enough for beamng, otherwise, your gpu isn't powerful enough (also, it might be throttling itself because of the PSU not being enough (judging by the fact that you said its a lenovo psu, that mean's it generic/no-name, meaning it doesn't actually give 350W)

strange, it sounds like the game is only using 1 core for everything, there is something wrong on your end

    Monitor is set to 1024 x 768. It's a 32" HD TV.

you set the game resolution higher than the normal resolution? that's a bit strange

but like i've stated twice now, open the game, press the "J" key to pause physics, if the fps skyrockets, your cpu is the problem, if it doesn't, your gpu is the problem

If you were getting 2fps it wasn't the E8400 causing it...
The BeamNG Moderate Requirements say nothing specific about which
Intel Dual Cores you can use.

The OP's CPU is virtually the same as YOURS...just one year older...?

My quad core was release in November of 2008...I guess my CPU is not that good either...

yes it was, no matter what settings i had, the fps stayed the same, so it most certainly was the e8400

and his cpu is NOT, the same as mine, or he would not be getting such horrible fps, i can easily get up to 60 fps on the grid maps at low settings, and i have an igpu for goodness sakes

and they used to say what cpu's you should use, for example, for high requirements, it used to say i7-3770K, then they changed it to quadcore, because too many people complained, even though the requirements are technically still the same

I don't believe the OP's CPU is the issue simply
based on it's specs as you obviously do.

Honestly there hasn't been enough info given
to determine what the problem is period. But
you'll defend your position till the bitter end.

Anyway OP, do as Mr. Know-it-all said and
press the "J" key to pause physics, if the fps skyrockets, your cpu is the problem, if it doesn't, your gpu is the problem

Did you do what logoster said?
press the "J" key to pause physics, if the fps skyrockets, your cpu is the problem, if it doesn't, your gpu is the problem

When you're in game, vehicle is there, check the fps.
Then press "J" and report back what your fps does please.
