Bruh, please read history of these cars. 2101 was developed alongside with fiat 124 which was just an italian rebadge of it. Then lada made 2103 and fiat 125p was based on 2103, newer ladas were based on 2103, not 125p

You got it a bit mixed up yourself: if anything, the rebadged one is the Lada. VAZ was literally the fruit of a licensing contract between FIAT and the Russian Government. License agreements to build the "Codename 124 R" in Russia were only finalized when FIAT had just launched the european 124, in 1966. The 2101 could only be introduced in 1970 when the VAZ plant in Tolyatti was finished. At the time, FIAT had already updated the 124 once, so the Lada 2101 was hardly developed "alongside" it. EDIT - By the way, the 125P wasn't based on the Lada 2103, it was based on the FIAT 125 (duh!), which in turn was a frankensteined FIAT 1500 with a fresh new body, sharing some parts with the smaller (but newer) 124.
yeah i mixed up first part, but fiat 125p was slightly based off 2103 and it wasnt a base for future ladas
Nope, 2103 was actually closer to the 124 Special (launched in Europe in 1970). The FIAT 125 and 125P are completely different cars, pretty much built around a stretched, adapted 124 body on the dated mechanicals from the FIAT 1300/1500.
