No it still has an i4, it’s a facelift not a new gen

 

The Sunburst facelift looks stunning. Fantastic work on the hybrid model, this is truly something to look forward to!

 

i know this is only a facelift but could you add a new version of the I4 as there is modern I4 sounds in the game used by the vivace and it would be great to not listen to the same old I4 sound it has.

"They are two different vehicles" Man, they are both econoboxes. A late 90s Ford Taurus sounds the same as/really close to a late 2000's Chevy Malibu, because they are the same type of car. Any difference in sound between them, is more related to the "age difference" than to the vehicle category. So yes, the facelifted Sunburst should sound like the Vivace (at least their 4 cylinder engines), because they are the same kind of car, and the "age difference" is now smaller. That's why a 2009 Malibu V6 sounds the same as a 2009 Ford Fusion V6

guys its literally a Japanese company making a facelift
every Japanese brand holds onto engine architectures for as feasibly long as possible, there aint no way in heck a facelift of an already modern car would get a new series of motors when the current ones are already modern enough

the reason they sound similar is the fact they have the same firing order and same valve and camshaft count, and likely the same exhaust header type.
an '03 Acura CL Type-S sounds the same as an '03 Eclipse GT/GTS because they both have SOHC 3-ish liter V6's and all the above reasons i listed, not because they are both arbitrarily from 2003
