IMPORTANT - THIS MAP WILL NEED AN ALRIGHT PC! 16GB RAM and decent VRAM recommended for a smooth experience (Vulkan is also advised) This is the all new version of Kamurocho from the Yakuza series. Based on the real life Kabukicho area of Tokyo, this is a tightly packed district with many back alleys in one of the city's biggest nightlife locations. This port has been redone from scratch using the more modern iteration of the city found in Judgment, so may be a bit different to the previous 80s version you may be used to. The old style map may return one day but the modern games allow for much better and quicker ports as they already feature a high standard of PBR materials and such, which is why we've gone in this direction. This map features all the latest fancy bits from me and Car_Killer's maps with integrated map controller tool (accessible from the esc menu) to use it all. This allows control of the weather, colour filters from the various entries across the original series, basic traffic controls (integrated with my Yakuza traffic pack mod) and the ability to hide the puddles incase you're like me and get annoyed by them messing up the shadowed look in screenshots. Other than the tool the map also has full PBR materials converted from the original game, lots of effort gone into efficient lods and optimisation (as much as you can do on such a tightly packed map anyway), full night lighting and emissive materials, lots of manual model cleanup and improvements, AI traffic and parking spaces support, props decoded and ported from the original map and much more. This map is also integrated with some other mods by me and Car_Killer. Our Kamurocho Car Park map (which has just been updated too) is accessible from inside this map by visiting the underground carpark entrances in the map, the thread for which can be found here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/kamurocho-underground-carpark-showroom-yakuza-4.87322/ My Yakuza traffic pack is also recommended for proper immersion within the map, so you can experience it with the same cars as the original game: https://www.beamng.com/threads/agents-realistic-simplified-traffic-mod-eu-yakuza.102034/ As usual we got mildly carried away so alongside the main Kamurocho map we also have ported the Tokyo Advanced Drug Research Centre (ADDC), also from Judgment. This is a smaller map again and serves as the accompanying "showroom" for this map much like we've done with other Yakuza ports now, featuring the surroundings of a large office building somewhere near the centre of Tokyo. Great if you want large expanses of carparks or just some wider roads compared to those of the main map. This looks amazing i can see some really nice pictures/screenshots with JDM cars being taken on this map!
I'm still working on this i've just been doing the very repetitive boring tasks that don't have much to show for them Ignore the terrible lighting, that's next up to sort
