I just recently built my new computer, I finally upgraded from the so called "sh*tbox" to "The Magnum Opus"

    "Sh*tbox"

    Intel Core 2 Duo
    XFX HD5770
    Corsair 4GB DDR2
    Corsair AX860i
    2x Samsung 500GB disks
    Asus case
    Windows 7 Ultimate

    "The Magnum Opus":

    Intel Core i7 5960X
    EVGA GTX980Ti
Corsair 32GB DDR4 2400MHz (it runs at 2667MHz for some reason)
    Corsair HX1000i
    Corsair H110i GT
    Samsung 850 512GB
2x Western Digital Black 4TB drives
    Fractal Design XL R2
    Windows 10 Pro

is this one of the most extreme gaming computers on the forum?

I'm surprised you can even run a web browser on that. A 980ti, really? That's so 90's!
    (obvious sarcasm is obvious)

Congrats on that build though! Blows mine out of the water :p

Thanks man, I went for the Magnum Opus for its name because this is the Greatest work I have ever put together....it is a MONSTER....and I havent even begun upgrading it yet....I am thinking 128GB DDR4 ram and maybe 2 GTX Titan X cards (yes I said 2 Titan X cards!!!) in a few years *Laughs like a lunatic*

Don't. Aftermarket cooled 980Ti's actually perform better than the Titan X, so the latter is a waste of money. Just get another 980Ti.
Also, 32GB RAM is already overkill, there's no point in getting more.

RAM disk for extreme speeds loading, say, BeamNG or whatever else you wanna play. :D Just to go for even more overkill.

If I was to do a RAM Disk I would require 128GB worth of RAM for it :)

    You've already got a $1000 CPU. And a $600 GPU. I guess there is a limit to everything :(

$1600 as if....this pc is worth MORE than the 3 previous computer builds put together which was about £2,500. This pc on its own is valued at almost £3000, but due to the way I get my things I reclaim the VAT off it which takes it down to £2300. My dad gets the parts but he claims the VAT back via his company :)

So this is the pile of crap that you had after the Magnum Opus was scrapped.
Wait, did I misspell something here?

However, if you want to know (yeah, of course you want;)), here are the specs of the computer before my DDR4-PC (they are both called pc03, by the way...)

    - AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor (the first gen processor, the BMW M3 E30 under the processors, stock @3.40Ghz, overclocked to lunatic 3.7Ghz!!)
    - 4x2GB DDR2 RAM (Ganged Mode) @800Mhz!
    - ASUS M3N78-VM Mainboard (it's an ASUS too, so it has to be
    - Radeon R7 240 2GB (even the internal graphics card of your massive i7 can barely outrun this thing!)
    - 3x1TB HDD (okay, that is a bit too less, definitely the bottleneck of this whole system :p)

The power that this thing has is whopping, and the graphics card it uses is almost strong enough to run BeamNG (it was capable of the demo version on lowest settings with 10 FPS)!

Yeah, and it still is under 30°C. I'll try clocking it like a beast today afternoon and watch if it gets better performance, despite still having the R7 240 on its arse.
