Is there any alternative to the current UI?

The laggy UI has been discussed several times, so there's no point in going on about it, but I am working on a small mod, and having to make several adjustments in the tuning tab, using the parts configuration, etc. any time I want to test my parts or figure out how to tune them is extremely frustrating. Is there anything at all I can do to avoid this?

Not sure about the newest version, but the way I used to get around it is any time I needed to use the UI, I just hit J to pause the physics, and then the UI was snappy enough for me to make the changes I needed, and then when I was done, just hit J again to get everything up and running again.

I'll try this! Thanks for the suggestion :)
Edit: This works well enough for me. Thanks again!

No problem... I don't know why it does this even on seemingly massively overpowered computers... it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

True, I'm guessing just poor optimization, and sadly AFAIK the UI is a somewhat low priority for the devs.

I would quite honestly like to see what Assetto Corsa did and use Python for the UI than Chromium which is used by BeamNG, but thats my own opinion on it

No, that's not true at all, wherever you got that from.
We have been working on some important UI-related changes to address many of these issues.
All of that is not announced yet (will be when it's time for it)

I guess the UI will be based on Chromium then I take it....

Let's not start with non-sense speculation, ok? ;)

Yeah I agree best not to carry on with guessing what goes on with the UI just accept what it is and get on with it

The UI is so SLOW it's horrible, even with a gaming computer load a page take 2 - 3s it's very annoying... Hop devs are going to do their best :)

See... I never had a problem with loading... heck most times I don't have a problem with the UI at all. The only time I have any issues with it is when I go to tune something (I don't do this very often unless I am finishing up a mod though). Then and only then does the interface struggle for me. When I hit J it runs nice and buttery smooth though, so when I need to tune something, I just pause the physics, slide the adjuster, hit apply, then hit J once the vehicle is reloaded. Besides... it's kind of annoying to tune something with the vehicle rolling around anyways.
