Is there a mod for a better user interface

Sadly, there are no mods of the such. It would be too difficult for an independent modder since it requires the modification of critical game files.

 

you are just not allowed by the rules of the in game repo

 

It would be okay for a forums release but not for a repo release. The difficulty aspect remains.

 

The new Vue interface is more optimized and it lags less than the actual one. For the moment, only the Vehicle config menu supports this new technology (you can get it when by clicking on "Try new UI").
Wait for future updates when it will be done on all game UI, then the mods will support it.
