The alpha/demo will be free, the full game will not be free. The devs haven't made a price for the full game yet.
They have said the alpha/demo will be free, I don't know about a beta. (if there will be one) And I'm pretty sure the full game won't be free, because they have put lots of work in it and they would like to make a little money of the game.
When they did the first live stream they said it would cost money but at the time of the first live stream they said iit was under 20$.
Gabe said it'll DEFINITELY be under 20 bucks. Which means it shouldn't cost TOO much. But the devs deserve it though!
I kinda don't want to pay under 20 bucks for this game. I think 20 - 35 bucks is a reasonable price for the full game.
ARE YOU SERIOUS UNDER 20$ WTF I would buy the game even if it would be 50$ because its worth it but what I would do is the first 12 hour that the game releases it would be half price and after that 20$ I think 20$ is a fair price for an supper nice freaking cool and detailed game like that.
Okay, but don't go too far with the price. Not all fans have piles of money at home. 15-35 dollars seems fair TBH. Don't go mad like some people who think 500 dollars should be the price of GTA V. I'm dead serious, there are people who think that.
Well if I was the head of Rockstar I woul say: If you want to pay 500 dollars for it, go ahead and do it. if you want to pay the original 50 bucks (Don't really know the price) its good too.
I'm willing to bet it'll follow the Minecraft model with a free trial type thing at start and a buy-in alpha/beta that nets you all future updates and the price goes up on until they reach the "final" release. It seems to be a very successful business model for indie startups, and I'd like to see it in use more often. (one other game that used this system I can think of off the top of my head is Kerbal Space Program.)
Dude! I wouldn't pay a penny for GTA! Well, maybe, 'cuz I could sell it for a couple bucks to a friend I have...
