Ok, so, is it yay or nay on including Beamng.drive assets such as trees, rocks, and possibly buildings in my map in the future, for release to the public via this forum (and only this forum)?

I am speaking of a few trees from East Coast map, some rocks from Utah, and a few oddball plants from JRI, to use in my semi-arid climate at lower elevations where it meets the ocean. The map is bland because it has no trees or rocks etc of any kind. I want to make sure that including game assets would be legit. I am not getting personal gain or anything in the way of money from this, just making more eye candy.

Assets include DAE files, CS material scripts (modified to suit the map level structure), and jpg/dds graphics files to support the DAE object files.

If there is a way to properly reference stuff not included in the map (say, when it reads materials.cs on runtime, can it load stuff from other maps that come with the game - e.g. JRI, ECA, Utah?), as I've not been able to get this linking right and the game says 'object cannot be found' or 'error creating object, is file missing?' etc.

I need some stuff for my california map, if you'd know how to reference objects from in-game levels, without including assets, would be best, otherwise, (and failing that) would I be able to distribute the commercial game assets in my user-map on this site without breaking either the terms of service (ToS) on this forum and my EULA for using the software (BeamNG.Drive)?

    --Thanks

P.S. I've pretty much halted my development on my So-Cal Interstate map until I know if I can do this or not.

Of course. If you were making and selling your own game that would be different, but mods are not officially licensed content in any way. You can do whatever you want as long as you give credit. Loads of mods here on the forums use assets from the game, and even from other games in the case of ported maps and cars.

Okay, I couldn't find anything expressly prohibiting this in the fine print, so I guess I can go ahead and add a forest to my map. Let's hope I can do this without making the editor crash this time, heh. I just didn't want to go ahead and do this, and then suddenly not be able to have my map released, after all the work. I also couldn't find any way to have one map use objects from another map zip, so this is the way I must do it.
