Improving user experience with vehicle systems status through the gameplay

    My Settings
    • Default engine state: off
    • Spawn vehicles with warmed up engine: disabled
    Case
    I spawn in freeroam.
    Set daytime to night, turn on the engine and the lights.
    Go to the event (ex. time attack) and start it.

    Problem
    Now at every event restart I have to turn on the engine turn on the lights and the engine is cold.
    It makes sense to fully reset vehicle on teleport or on recovery reset, but not on entering/restarting event, it is a bit annoying. Also the same from starting events directly from the main menu.

    Solution
    1. Preserve vehicle state from freeroam to the event start.
    2. Having an 'optimal' state override for each event.
    I think the best solution would be to combine both.
    For example use (1) for Freeroam and (2) for events. And on event start screen to have a toggle if you would like to optimize state or not.

    Some Notes
    Just an Idea for freeroam/career. To have the game save the state of your personal car before/through the event. Engine temps, how much fuel left. So you warm up the engine before the race, you spend fuel during the event/time attack, etc.
