Funny enough, a few hours ago, I was with my parents, and their favorite game was Galaxia/Centipede type of games. I had the idea of making it 3D with you going in a circle around the falling aliens, and the aliens that you shoot down become your partners (because why not). Some rounds could even have alien ships coming up behind you, and you press a button to turn around and shoot backwards. (Essentially a revive of those types of games).
