mike94 submitted a new resource: Ibishu Dove - New four-wheeled car based on the Ibishu Pigeon Read more about this resource...
I made some pickup parts for the pigeon, like the offroad bumpers and the bed(bad mesh for the latter) If you want I can send them They dont have a custom Jbeam since I am new to making new parts
Greetings!! First, the mod is very well made. Second, i'll start making some sounds for it today!! And lastly, i've noticed a bug that might be just a "side effect" of some kind... long story short: when you raise the front suspension arm to its max and take a corner hard enough, you can break the inside wheel. (if you corner hard to the left, the left wheel breaks).
Great, we need more quality I3 and I4 engine sounds. It seems that the left front wheel bites some node and then breaks. Maybe some node is in the wrong place. I'll see what I can do --- Post updated --- Lol, I didn't remember there was another Ibishu Dove. I hope it's okay for SixSixSevenSeven.
The Ibishu Dove project is finished at least for now. I'll only fix major bugs and make compatability updates if needed. The next car would be very different from the Dove and the whole model would be scratch made.
They could of used Dove for two different vehicles in two separate markets. one real life equivalent I could use is the Ford Courier. In Europe the model name was used for a van based on the Fiesta, while here in New Zealand and Australia it was used for a Mazda based Ute.
Holy crap. I have lots of work to do renaming all parts and making new lettering textures. Edit: Or is it possibe to have two vehicles of the same name if the jbeam names are diferent?
I had to rename @SixSixSevenSeven's mod because even though both vehicles are totally different, trying to spawn anything with both of them combined still spawns the "original" Dove. Edit: IMO, I'd like it better if this mod were still merged with the original Pigeon, but that's my preference.
@mike94, if you want to implement the pigeon engines from the little mod thing i put together a while back on the other thread, feel free to do so.
I wonder how is that even possible that the two Doves conflict? I checked the @SixSixSevenSeven 's mod and there aren't any parts that share the same name with mine. The zip file name is also different.
From how both mods were installed, @SixSixSevenSeven's mod was: ibishudove.zip>vehicles>dove. Your's was the same as well, apart from the file name itself, and with both having the dove name, cleared cache or not, his mod showed up within your mod in the vehicle selector as one of the configs, and trying to spawn any of your configs ultimately somehow spawned his truck instead. Cleared cache again didn't really help, so I had to go and rename the folders.
Oh. He, or moderator must have changed the name of the mod. I downloaded it half an hour ago and the folder name in the zip was pickup.
I don't see issues with this two mods combined ? You talk about this one ? : http://www.beamng.com/threads/12-09-2015-ibishu-dove-jdm-gavril-d-series.15859/
This mod is probably the most "complicatedly simple" mods out there. The model may have been overhauled, but the car barely changed (if that made sense). It could use a bunch of configs though. Besides the street legal stuff, with some modification, it feels like it could have a great amount of potential as a car for many, if not all, race types. I would love to see this as a rally car XD It only needs a turbo'd engine, longer suspension, and some tweaks. It would be perfect! Or used as a derby car. Because it's lightweight and simple, breakdowns are very infrequent, so they could be used for a long time, even after many bumps, if a derby cage was there. I'm looking forward to someone making configs for this car some time in the future
