Interesting concept, but I'm looking forward to it.

I do have a suggestion. Fender wing mirrors would be pretty cool to see and would make a bit of sense.

The only irl example I can think of that was a luxury sedan is the Mazda road pacer, which was based on Holden hj/hx cars but with a rotary instead of the Holden engines.

 

cool, it just needs some minor design changes (grille tooth, fender mirrors, c h r o m e)

 

I just noticed that the steering wheel and wooden dash still say grand marshal. It cracks me up that the American standard in Japan is the most luxury you could get.

 

That's on its way, none of us have made any mods besides me with some Automation fast bois, so this has been a learning experience for all of us that makes it even clearer how stupid it is to ask a modder when something will release.

If a vehicle doesn't have amber singles, it won't be on Japanese roads. Just saying.

 

I drew up a concept of the Diadem with amber blinkers and rear fog lamps. Since it's a JDM car, it should have both of these features.

My first thought was the early 1970s Dodge sedans that were sold as Mitsubishis in Japan.

 

were there actually any Dodges sold with Mitsubishi badges, or just Mitsubishis with Dodge badges?

 

I do remember reading somewhere that certain Dodge sedans were rebadged as Mitsubishis for Japanese sale. It was one of the big, boaty ones, and IIRC came only in 318/TorqueFlite spec.

 

Why does it say "Beta Released" if nothing is released? OP should update the tag so as not to be misleading. It seems to be just a concept at this point that looks exactly like the Grand Mashall.

I see. In that case, OP should include a link to that mod in the first post. I still say it looks nearly identical to the Marshall.

BUMP ALERT

Basiclly what we have here is a Diadem that i have edited the model of. Alot of work has gone into it so far
I have DM*d the Author, maybe he will accept it as an next update

Changes i have made:
- Longer taillights, more japanese looking
- New body to fit the new taillights
- longer headlights
- adjusted the hoods to fit the headlights
- adjusted grilles to fit the headlights
- adjusted front bumpers to fit the headlights
- new trunk to fit the new taillights
- moved v8 and gtz lettering to fit the new trunk
- removed unnecessary gtz badge
- removed grand marshal badge from interior (the gavril logo on the steering wheel remains tho)
- shorter stick shift lever
- updated thumbnails










Ofc there are more things that i would like to edit/add. But this is good for now

 

Wow, very nice. You've actually done some of the things we wanted to, such as restyling the lights and so on
I too am working on this mod with him, and I'll let him know about this
