Is it me, or is there only one sound for tires slipping in this game, and it plays at the same volume no matter how much you're sliding? Whenever I hit the brakes even a little hard in this game, the tires start screeching really loud like I've jammed the brakes to the floor on a car with no ABS. It makes it very hard to judge when I've actually locked the tires up. I play other racing sims (Rfactor 1 and 2, Game Stock Car, iRacing, NR2003, etc.) and I can tell when the wheels are locked and sliding from the screeching of the tires. In BeamNG that's much more difficult because the tires start screaming the moment I breathe on the brake. Or am I just used to racing machines with slicks, and real-life road cars do actually lock this easily? I'm willing to admit that I'm wrong, but it feels off. The rest of the game is good (the Modern Pessima's understeer is particularly impressive in that it feels controllable without being unrealistic), there's just a few flaws like this.
I agree with you. I am as well spoiled by other games. Especially Live for Speed where tire sounds are as realistic as can be so you can sense what your car is doing blindfolded.
