i am just curious if 1.0 will releasee or still be in early access forever, and will the game still be paid or free when full comes out (highly doubt it will be free).
BeamNG's development heavily relies on scope and user feedback, so theres no set date of full release or stringent roadmap, just quarterly updates adding and refining features, vehicles, maps and the current campaign depending on what the community wants at the time. right now versions are coming in hundredths (0.32, 0.33, 0.34 ect ect) but some developers may move in larger or smaller increments depending on whether they feel they can more features within a smaller space before 1.0. Beam has changed their update formatting before, its possible they could change to 0.4, 0.5 and so on IF they feel they are approaching the state they want for full release. (keep in mind they also used this formatting before 0.10 released.) Short answer: I dunno, some point in the next few years. Maybe more, maybe less. Doubt the game will be free, the game is pretty cheap as is for how feature complete it is now, coming from someone who bought the game well before the new UI changes, soundscapes, rendering systems and such. (version 0.7 in late 2016, gosh its been a minute)
that does make sence and the game is fairly cheap too (though i'm Australian so it's 36.50 bucks) but it's worth it for the beatuiful graphics if my laptop (dell latitude 7280 touchscreen) was not crap at running games so i need to play at lowest 720p but still get to experience the beautiful crashing.
This is not how program versioning works, it is not "zero point three three" but "zero point thirty three" No, there already were versions 4 and 5, these would be 0.40 and 0.50. Reaching 0.99 does not lead to 1.0 but to 0.100. The major and minor update version numbers are independent, same reason as why the version before 0.33.0 was 0.32.5 and not 0.32.9
