I don't understand why you would add downloaded mods to the game files. Try reading the following link found with a simple web search as it works much better than the search box on this site! https://wiki.beamng.com/index.php?title=How_to_install_mods&redirect=no Download your mods from your preferred site. Preferably this site as it's safer. Move the ZIP in Documents/BeamNG.Drive/mods (If you don't have a mods folder, simply create one) Do not extract the content from the ZIP! Any issues then re-read above link and make sure you followed it correctly. I prefer to download mods to my downloads folder into My BeamNG Mods folder also adding version details so I don't overwrite old mods of the same type then I will copy the chosen mods to paste into my Documents/BeamNG.Drive/mods folder sorted by levels (maps) & Vehicles (cars/planes/etc) while trying to avoid adding to much mods to the game only adding mods I intend on using and cutting un-used mods back to my downloads folder. edit: sorry I forgot to mention that it's best to click "Clear cache" button after adding/removing mods/maps/etc "Clear Cache" is the button under launch game when you run BeamNG.drive - Also deleting the db.json file from the mods folder will help reset installed mods and as the game is started again it will replace the db.json file example of how I download my mods - My favourite map - Crash Hard Map (Final Version) (Maybe) 1.0.3 clicking orange download button will pop up a box with test_track in it, I will make sure the directory is correct then I will edit the name "test_track" to Crash Hard Map v1.0.3 then click save. everyone works out their own technique. Cheers, I hope this helps. MadLeigh.
