Original Post: Spoiler After a few days of getting everything in place in Blender and then another day figuring out textures I have the base of the Veloster N. Underneath it's a Vivace until I get to that aspect, but it's a start for my first mod. I wanted to make this since I drive one in real life. I don't think it's going to be too great unless I can find someone to help me with it, but until then I will keep working as I can. Any ideas to make it better are appreciated. For now here are a couple of shots of what I'm working with. Also, I take zero credit for anything other than making this work in game. The model is a rip and the underlying files are all from BeamNG. I just want to drive my car in the game. Nice to see a legitimate Veloster, but please remember to give proper credit. I'd also like to see it polished and more configurations.
Polish will take some time, the model is a rip from Forza Horizon 4 I think it's not meant for beam. Have to take some time and make lots of parts double sided so they are see through on the other side. I think the ultimate goal is to polish this and then make it lore friendly and have more configs. Also getting the Veloster N wheels in as well. Not a huge fan of using a ripped model, but it works for what I am trying to do currently.
I mean hey, despite it being a ripped model, at least you're not claiming credit for it, and it's at least a start for your first mod. Good luck with developing this one, you've got this.
I saw what you wrote, I assure this is not anyone else's mod. Now maybe he did the same as I, and used a ripped model, but I haven't been able to find a reputable way to get his mod and have never had his mod. I would never take someone else's mod and claim it as my own. I've already said that this model is ripped from Forza and underneath this is basically a vivace. I'm working on tuning parts to make them more similar to the Veloster, but at the end of the day this will eventually become a cherrier vehicle and lore friendly as I'd like this on the repository at some point. As for now I'll keep posting updates as I work on it, it's my first time actually putting something more than a random part on a stock car.
Considering the original source of the model, you cannot place this on the repo; the repository does not allow copyrighted content. That being said, if you were to make the 3d model then it would be allowed. However, that doesn't necessarily stop it from being released on the forums.
That's true and I know that. When it'll go on the repo it won't be on this model. That's just my end goal. For now it's starting as this model but to make it lore friendly I'll remodel everything to make it closer to the in game and not Hyundai. For the time being I'm working on making this a fleshed out mod and then I'll get to the hard part of making it lore friendly and copyright free.
No worries, I figured since you deleted the post, but wanted to make sure there wasn't any confusion. Glad there are still decent people out there, I appreciate it.
